All I can say is WOW. We just finished designing a view book featuring select racers from the 2007 season (and one Pininfarina crafted in 2006). Let me say that the cars look AMAZING! And why shouldn't they? All the racers that competed in the 2007 competition are not only fine art; they're part of automotive history as well. ZER |

Kingston Technology Press Release |

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Kingston Technology to Display China’s Automotive History NEWPORT COAST, California, USA—February 27, 2008—The United States division of Kingston Technology will display a slice of China’s automotive history by hosting the 2007 Taichi Rhythm, China Beat ZER racer for one week beginning on Friday, March 7, 2008. The media is invited to attend the Southern California unveiling of the historic racer at 12:00 Noon on Friday, March 7, 2008 in the lobby of Kingston Technology Corporate Headquarters (17600 Newhope Street, Fountain Valley, CA 92708). After the unveiling, the display of the 2007 Taichi Rhythm, China Beat ZER racer will be open to the public in the lobby of Kingston Technology Corporate Headquarters Monday through Friday between 9:00AM PDT and 5:00PM PDT. Developed and created in Shanghai, China, the stunning 2007 Taichi Rhythm, China Beat ZER racer is a ground-breaking, zero emission motor vehicle. This vehicle is certified as China's first zero-emissions race vehicle. Because of its status and designation, this beautiful element of China’s automotive history has been personally reviewed by Wen Jiabao, the Prime Minister of China, as well as Romano Prodi, the Prime Minister of Italy. The racer represents an automotive technological leap; the vehicle features a pneumatic energy storage system as well as regenerative braking technology. The engine features containers for air pressure fuel as well as components that can convert the braking energy into additional air pressure for vehicle propulsion. Special thanks to John Tu, co-founder and CEO of Kingston Technology, for his funding of the Taichi Rhythm, China Beat ZER project. Born in Chungking, China, Mr. Tu realized at an early age that the standard path of most of his Chinese contemporaries would not be suitable for him. In that same regard, Zero Emission Racing salutes Mr. Tu for the similarly unique and revolutionary steps he has taken with ZER in ZER’s mission to research and promote real eco solutions for real eco problems. |

Welcome to ZER's Corner of the Blogosphere |

Welcome to the new, official blog of Zero Emission
Racing™. This is your one-stop resource for everything in the world
of ZER™. For those of you who are new, ZER™ is a company that is taking a racing concept (which is usually the worst polluting form of sporting and entertainment) and green-ify-ing it by requiring that the cars be 100% zero emission. Plus, we're make sure the entire "circus" that revolves around the race is as low-polluting as possible. And, on top of that, we give back to the communities we visit by hiring local foster youth to work the events. That's ZER™ in a nutshell. Please stay tuned for more posts in the coming days, and don't be afraid to talk back to us. ZER |
